ARTIST JESUS. INNER DARKNESS - week 1
Documentation from our first week, titled: ‘Towards Happiness’
We invited people into a tale of sorrow. We explained how we extracted our own sorrows, how we keep them in our garden, and how we tend them. We sang a hymn of sorrows, and discussed the subject with the people entering the garden of sorrows. We performed extractions of the sorrows from those who wanted to.
The room was connected to a sound universe recording and playing the sounds of the room in a long echoing loop. The performance was a mix of exploration and investigation of the garden, sonic rituals, storytelling and thematic discussion with the participants.
